Under the direction of the School Principal, this position is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and contributing to education, training, and services focused on First Nations learners, organizations, and communities as well as other. specific activities. The coordinator works across the school in collaboration with parents, communities, and students to promote enrolments, attendance, student success, program completion, and community relationships. The coordinator also has a significant role in promoting the school’s activities to various communities and SD 78 Schools to foster learning approaches that support families and students. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining highly effective, open communication with First Nations learners, families, communities, school districts and other organizations for the purpose of enhancing student access to supports and success in education.
